The cover was a good representation of the story. A young blossoming girl on a summer adventure. Her mother appears immature and selfish. I love that the description implies that she eventually gets some spunk and stands up to her mother. Growing up we tend to think our parents hung the moon and stars but as we get older we more easily see their faults.
