The cover and the blurb about the book were enough to get me interested in taking a closer look. When I started reading, it reads so much like a novel that I forgot it was a memoir. After reading the first impression, I reread the blurb and was shocked this was a memoir. I’m actually more compelled to read more because it is a memoir. Now I’m left wondering - why does this young girl happily want to help her mom have an affair? And what damage will be done?
