I can't deny it that this memoir has an interesting premise, I just wasn't digging it. We get a clear idea of each other people in the first pages, and are hit with enough beach imagery to drown a person in sea-salt air, to the point I started skimming parts about birds. There's also the classic "I'm a pubescent teenage girl, help" paragraph. I can defintiely see this getting popular, it's just not for me.
