Long and Boring

I liked the premise of the book, but was it a slow burn. It took hundreds of pages to get to the promised robbery and then that was over in seconds. The final section was the most bearable and the only part I can say I genuinely enjoyed, but I almost quit many times before getting there. Apart from the story, another gripe was the characters. Everyone is just so unlikable. From the widows to the cops, no one stands out as a character I would be rooting for. Shirley and Bella aren't as bad as the rest of them, but I wouldn't go as far as to say they were likable either. I don't see why any of them would bother to follow Dolly since she's the worst out of them all. She's nasty to everyone, tells no one what's going on, shows zero appreciation for anyone on her team, and expects complete devotion to her old ass without deserving it in any way. I really can't stand her and given that I'm supposed to be routing for her and the other widows, I'm just not feeling it.
