Widows by Lynda La Plante was a fantastic crime thriller full of great excitement. The heist was complex and full of action, with the underlying mystery of whodunnit?? who killed the team? The women, Dolly, Shirley, Linda, and Bella, carry out the heist while facing pressures from all sides, a thug gang and the police, including Dolly's husband's old nemesis. The women were all unique in their own way but came together as a team to complete a common goal. The writing was detailed and flowed well, allowing readers to get to know the characters as the story moved forward. A lot happens, but it all ties together nicely by the end of the novel. I hear this is the first in its series and was adapted into a television series, which I may check out as well as the rest of the series.
