My first thought was that Widows might parallel the First Wives Club which I thought was funny and heartbreaking and had a great ending. Of course, no divorced women here, since their husbands are all dead and they are handling their grief in various ways. There was enough information provided in the First Read to make me want to know more about what happened to their husbands, what the women were going to do now and if there would be a happy ending.I loved how the women 'teamed up' in First Wives Club and I think I will enjoy Widows just as much. I hadn't heard of this author before seeing Widows, but whether I win a raffle copy or not, I will be adding this to my TBR list.
