Dolly Rawlins, Linda Pirella and Shirley Miller are all new widows. All three of their spouses were killed in a van that exploded during what seemed to be an armed robbery. Harry Rawlins was the leader of the group and was burned beyond recognition. All three are buried, while their widows are left to mourn and pick up the pieces. Dolly, however, knows that she has the key to secret ledgers that Harry kept and is going to follow up on his business dealings. The beginning of this book promises to be an amusing, entertaining account of the three widows versus an aging policeman who is seeking revenge against this group of robbers. There are other shady characters, including Boxer and Tony, who also want the ledgers that Dolly pretends no knowledge of. Interesting and more intriguing start to a novel!
