First of all, I would definitely recommend reading The Widows by this author before reading this book. If you read this book as a standalone, you will probably be confused because you will be missing out on a lot of the backstory of the characters. These two books reminded me, in a way, of the new Ocean's Thirteen movie with the all female cast mixed with the hilarious movie, The First Wives' Club. The author's writing style is very intriguing, and I thought this was a rather fast paced story. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the two books going in, but I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed reading them. This was definitely a fun book to get lost in, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick and enjoyable read.
