This is the second book in the Widow's series which I did not know when I initially added this to my TBR. I think it is important to know that as Goodreads does not show that this is part of a series. However; I feel like you need to read book one first, but since I did not I had a hard time connecting everything and getting into this one.
This story takes place right after the events of book one (again I have not read book one). I decided that I needed to wait and pick up the other book before jumping into this one. I just could not get into it and ended up temporarily DNF (did not finish) this. However; the synopsis of this book still intrigues me so I requested book one from my local library so I can start the series.
I did not have an option not to leave a star rating so I am giving this 3 stars (I do not want to give it a bad rating since I have not given it enough of a chance)
