I did not read Widows, and, based on my First Impression, I think Widow's Revenge loses something without the background. It is probably more appealing to fans of Widows. It looks like Dolly and 3 others have a lot of money from a bank robbery. They are going in their own directions. Unfortunately, the planner of the robbery, Harry, thought dead, ias actually alive and well and on the trail of the money. The writing alternates characters and includes a lot of dialogue that tries to convey an accent. It seems like it will be a quick read with action, deception, and drama. Just not for me.
