With the short introduction (The Story So Far) to the happenings in the first book, I feel as if I've missed something. The backstory felt like a huge information dump, and I wasn't immersed. With that said, Chapter one drew me in. I felt Mrs. Rawlins' angst. I realize this is the second book in a series, but I wish the backstory had been integrated throughout, rather than dumped at the beginning. The cover art isn't really my style or preferred genre.
