I really loved the whole concept of the Gumiho (a nine-tailed fox) and how Miyoung had to steal the energy of bad men in order to survive. When Miyoung meets Jihoon and loses her fox bead in the process of saving him from a dokkaebi (goblin), both their lives are changed from this one encounter. I liked the Korean folktales intertwined throughout the story and how Miyoung and Jihoon's feelings change from friendship to romance. Their relationship was really wonderfully done and added much depth to their characters. I'm very interested to see where the next book will lead.
