I love reading about different cultures, and a book set in Korea was just what I needed! I love learning about Korean mythology throughout this book, since I’m not really familiar with it. I adore the fact that the monster in this book is the girl for once. I love that she feels conflicted about her nature, and tries to mitigate harm however she can. The friendship and eventual romance between Miyoung and Jihoon is so believable, and I love the fact that Jihoon’s girlfriend and best friend get along on their own right and don’t fight over him. This book has romance, action, drama, absentee fathers reveals. I really need the sequel, now! I need to know what happens with Miyoung and Jihoon! What happened to her mom? I’ll have to wait until next month!
