Firstly, the cover art for this novel is stunning. I was really drawn into the story of Miyoung and Jihoon as they discovered how to live in a world where fantasy comes to life. Kat Cho's imagination springs to life with her creation of Miyoung as a Gumiho, a nine-tailed fox who feeds off the energy of men. She makes Miyoung stand out from other Gumiho's with targets for the gi, as well as the way she extracts it. She gives Miyoung a chance at a normal life when she meets Jihoon, who insists on being her friend. While I'm not too familiar with Korean culture or folklore, I was easily drawn into this novel. The plot line was full of twists and the characters were so likeable you could feed off their emotions. I highly recommend this book!
