I enjoyed this book so much. Kat Choi has woven a tale that has bewitched me, as a reader. I really want to go to Japan and see the places she mentioned. Being a teenager is hard, but to also be a Fox like creature that hunts humans is also challenging. Add a swoon worthy guy at her newest school, and an over protective harsh mother and it’s gone from challenging to an utter defeating situation.
As a reader, I was won over by the plot and the intricate care that Choi has gone to make these characters believeable. The folklore behind the gumiho is fascinating. The relationships that the characters have with their families is not unlike the ones we have IRL. I implore you to read this book. You will not regret it.
