As I'm half Chinese, I always love reading about other Asian cultures and their folklore. Chinese and Koreans both have folktales about the nine-tailed fox but I'm really interested in reading her interpretation of the stories she heard growing up. The concept of a benevolent monster, someone fighting against their most base nature, has always been fascinating to me, especially in this case as the Chinese version tends to skew more morally ambiguous versus the Korean which seems to skew more wicked (pardon the obvious title reference). I love the colors and the feel of the cover but I don't think it conveys the subject of the book as well as it could, at least from what I was able to read.
