Gu Miyoung looks like a normal girl but is a gumiho, a nine-tailed fox that absorbs gi from humans to survive without becoming a beast. She and her mother move around constantly to hide their secret, but almost immediately she has a chance encounter with Jihoon, a fellow teenager, where her secret is revealed. Jihoon thought people like Gu Miyoung were a myth, but has his ideas upended and his soul interconnected with her. Definitely written for a teenager audience leaves me wanting for something more a little more adult.
