I think the author did an amazing job at painting a clear picture of the environment and made me sympathize with miyoung right away. I was instantly swept up in the character and was rooting for her despite the fact that she is hunting a human. I liked how she balanced the grayness of the character without trying too hard to make excuses for her choice to kill others. In addition to this, I love the “old ways” magic that the author weaves in seamlessly with the modern setting! Can’t wait to read more!
