First, a huge thank you to Margaret Verble, the publishers, and BookishFirst for an advanced copy of When Two Feathers Fell From The Sky.

The backdrop of 1926 Nashville Wild west show is what initially drew me to this one, and it didn't disappoint. I wasn't quite expecting what it become and certain parts, especially with Little Elk and Jack Older, but it was still really enjoyable. I do wish the conclusion with those storylines had been a bit different, though!

I really enjoyed the characters, especially Two, Crawford, and Clive. I just loved the relationship building and getting the different POVs for everyone. The world building was wonderful, but I was a bit bummed we didn't get more time at the 100 and with Two's family!

Some of it was hard to read, because of course it's set in the south with two main characters who are POC, so it's gonna handle topics of racism and lynching; but anything involving that is going to be hard to read. Overall, I really did enjoy this book and genuinely am now a huge fan of Mrs. Verble!
