When I first started the book, I was really interested and invest in Two-Feathers and Ocher. The whole take of horse diving was complicated and encompassing, but I loved hearing how Ocher soaked up the people's attention. How Two-Feathers herself loved the thrill of it. The book kepts me interested when the tank collapsed and they fell into a cave. When Ocher died, it hurt my heart so much to read that she had died and they didn't even bury her. Once Jack got into the picture my interest decreased. He was creepy and had a flat character. Then, it went downhill from there. The book seemed to drag and there wasn't anything else that really happened.

I mean Little Elk was an interesting apparition, but after he scalped Jack you didn't hear anymore about him. He, even, had more character than Jack. Maybe that's just my opinion.

Clive and Two-Feathers had the most characteristics out of everyone in the book. Well, them and Little Elk. I just feel like everyone else was written around them and that's it. Even with Crawford, I wanted to like his personality but I felt there were times even his character fell flat.

Plus, at the very end of the novel, Two-Feathers starts to fall in love randomly with this news reporter she's only seen twice. It didn't make sense to me. The love was almost rushed into there, considering you didn't even see him until the last 50 pages of the book.

But I did love the very first chapter "When It Was." It's what drew me into the book in the first place. I, also, loved Adam the buffalo. There was an in sight of his personality even though he's a buffalo. But I loved it.
