Meet Two Feathers, a performer at the Glendale Park Zoo whose act involves diving into a pool – while riding on the back of a horse. With that premise being outlined in the synopsis and the bold cover I was excited to delve into this story at first.

Two Feathers is a novel that is heavily character based. The plot doesn't really involve much of anything other than the points of view of each of the major characters, mostly what is going on in their minds rather than what is happening outwardly and between the characters. It is easy to grow to like Two Feathers, but it's hard to become too loyal to the novel itself as not much really happens. It is not until about halfway in to the book that you realize things must have changed as the characters are in different places than at the start of the book, but it's not really clear that change is happening while you read.

The Prose is comprised of shorter choppy sentences and random half sentences strung together which may be better for a younger audience, but as an older reader I found it hard to make myself trudge through.

There was a lot of potential in this book but personally I feel it fell short of what could have been.
