The cover is very appealing and the beginning is written in an almost poetic way. I have heard of horse diving and the author did a good job of conveying the spectacle of it. I wish the excerpt had been longer. It feels like we didn't get a feel for what is about to unfold. I think because of this I didn't really connect to the story.
