When Two Feathers Fell from the Sky tells the story of Two Feathers, actually Nancy Benge, a Cherokee working as a horse diver on ranch in the South. The story takes place in 1926, so the country's recent mistreatment of Native Americans is still a raw spot for Two and her family. When a secret admirer sends Two a message, she's sure it comes from someone using a similarly fake Cherokee name, but who?
The cover is bright and appealing, but does not allude to much of the story. The writing is detailed and creates likeable characters, but unfortunately I don't find it gripping enough to learn more.
