This book will certainly pull at my heart strings!
Dizzy, the main character, is a twelve year old girl who is having a terrible day, but her day turns around when a magical girl saves her from getting run over by a bus.
What an opening scene for a book! Immediately, you can relate to the main character who is going through a divorce with her best friend, has no idea who her dad is, and seems to be different from every body else. She is funny, introspective and reminds me of childhood with her mannerisms and quality (and hilarious) comments. Even with this little portion of the book, I can already tell this book will pull at my heart! This book is sure to be a reminiscent of what it is like to be growing up and experiencing all of the horrible, beautiful, and messily wonderful emotions that come with it. I am so excited to read this book!
