Gina Wilkinson has a way of describing Iraq as if you were there. The time was tumultuous to say the least, but the story of the Wilsons, Huda, and Rania and their children was so moving. I could not put it down! I have already referred this book out to multiple people who preordered it!

Rania and Huda embark on a mission to flee Saddam's Iraq and keep their respective children away from Uday's army of awful people. To achieve this they use Mrs. Wilson, the wife of the deputy ambassador to Australia. Mrs. Wilson has secrets of her own, a major one being that she has dual citizenship in America and Australia. That fact alone could get her killed if anyone outside the embassy knew. The other issue came when friends of hers who are reporters came to aid her in her mission to find out information on her mother, who worked in Iraq in the 1970s as a nurse.
