This excerpt was gripping and compelling immediately. It was so tense and I could feel my anxiety growing. The Iraq setting with secret police pressuring Huda for information simply adds to that tension. I love the alternating perspectives of Rania, Huda and Ally and I think that will really work well throughout the book. I'm definitely looking forward to reading this.
