I'm a little curious about this book. So I gave it a read.
From the pages, it appears to be well written. However: I don't know if this author is the one to be telling it. From what I gather all are women of color and it takes place in Iraq... based on her views as a white female in Iraq.
The cover is rather lovely and the sentiment could be nice, but it seems a lot of reviewers of color have made their opinion known that the white woman is taking advantage. I'd rather read a book written by a female who is from Iraq and is handling these topics. Not with a white, female bias.
(I also note that the extras that come with this book don't seem to be helping women in Iraq or supporting anything to do with Iraq.)
