I read the first few chapters and liked the story alright but am very conflicted as the author is a white woman. I truly do understand that it is important to tell stories from around the world and from cultures that are not western. That being said, I believe that there should be more focus on giving authors from the Middle East and of Middle Eastern descent the platform to tell their own stories.
