When the Apricots Bloom was inspired by the author’s time spent in Baghdad. Gina Wilkinson was a foreign correspondent in Iraq during the time of Saddam Hussein’s rule. This is beautifully written and so descriptive the reader feels they can smell the apricot blossoms. Definitely a story for those who enjoy fiction based on actual events.
