An interesting perspective piece with beautiful prose

This first look at When the Apricots Bloom made me extremely interested in reading more! It is so interesting to see Iraqi experiences firsthand from the women who live in Baghdad. I immediately liked the three main female characters, Huda, Rania, and Ally. I'm interested in reading more about how their three paths might cross and intersect. The writing is beautiful, and I really enjoyed reading the beginning of a book unlike any others I have read before. I am very interested in reading the rest of this book.
