Let me start by saying that I am not Jewish, but Christian. So, I do not fully agree with all the Jewish traditions and beliefs. This story, however, did seem like it was pushing me to agree with everything. Oshman's writing dives into her family's lives, and how religion was and still is essential to them. She is not worried to tell about her own experiences, and that is a desirable trait. I don't admire the cover, but only because I don't like real photos on them anyway.
