Usually I read through the entire first look before composing my first impression, unless it includes my triggers or am comfortable with following through until the end. For this book, I just couldn't get behind the writing style. I will say I don't like self-help books in general, unless they are from a figure I'm already following / am a fan of, so I wasn't expecting to want to give this book a shot, but the author's voice throughout this first look has just solidified my decision. Maybe some will gravitate towards it and learn a thing or two, and that's great, I just won't be one of those people.
