I will be honest, self help books are not for me. I’ve never cared for them. That being said, this is the first book of this genre I’ve ever cared to read more than two pages of. While Oshman’s life experiences may not be relatable, her description of her anxieties and feelings are incredibly relatable. She also offers a look at Judaism and Jewish wisdom that isn’t intimidating or feel like cultural appropriation for the non-Jewish reader. For a self help book, this might be the most approachable first look I’ve seen.
