What Would You Do If You Weren't Afraid is a self-help book applying lessons from Jewish teachings.

I like the title and cover; "what would you do if you weren't afraid?" certainly is a worthy question to ask ourselves. But the excerpt itself doesn't quite connect to overcoming fears. Instead, the introduction feels like a lead-in to author Michal Oshman loosely describing some of her own life experiences in the rest of the book, while referencing Jewish teachings and how they helped her make sense of her experiences. The beginning of the book didn't make me expect that the rest of the book would be particularly helpful to me. It may be a better fit for frequent readers of the self-improvement genre.
