Fitting in is never easy for teenagers, even the popular ones. The main character struggles to fit in with her new boarding school. I like this mix of a realistic situation with a crazy or unrealistic plot device. The cover mixes realism with something out of The Walking Dead, one of my very favorite television shows.

A boarding school surrounded by woods is a great setting for a young adult novel. Also having the main character strike out on her own away from her parents is always a good set up for a young adult novel.

I'm curious to see what type of odd happenings occur and how the main character deals with them on her own in the new and odd setting.

I haven't read anything by this author before and am curious to learn more about their point of view and process. What will happen next is the question that I am left with after reading the preview of this novel.
