What Big Teeth is an amazing YA book about a girl who happens to come from a family of monsters. The story is unlike any I have read. It starts with Eleanor returning home after an accident at her school. However, she is not sure if she is even welcome at her home. Townsfolk are afraid of the Zarrin family and they have good reason to be. The story winds together the past and the present so flawlessly. The characters are phenomenal, from Eleanor to her mother, Luma, Rhys, the strange Arthur, even Grandpa Mikkolas and Grandmere, they were all exceptionally written. The plot is unique and the creepy house setting was perfect. This is one I really did not want to end. I am hoping the author can maybe squeeze one or two more out of the family. And that cover! Perfection! I will be shocked if this is not a top book of the year. I can't wait to read more by this author, their talent is incredible.
