I received an advanced copy of What Big Teeth from BookishFirst so I could share my review with you!

Eleanor Zarrin has returned to her family home after enduring a horrifying incident at her boarding school, but she isn’t so sure that she’ll be safe there either. She can’t seem to figure out how she is meant to fit with her eccentric and sometimes monstrous relatives, who are all a bit too strange to overlook. Yet, in spite of her own uncertainties, Eleanor finds herself desperate to keep her family together. A darkness lurks within Eleanor, and if she wants to save the ones she cares for, she will have to learn to tame it and embrace herself.

What Big Teeth has, without a doubt, one of the coolest covers I’ve seen in many years! Admittedly, that is what drew me to this book in the beginning, as I couldn’t resist the pull of those illustrated fangs. Fortunately, this turned out to be one of the cases where you actually can judge a book by its cover, as What Big Teeth fulfilled all of my spooky-ya-thriller dreams! I loved Eleanor’s progression as a character over the course of the novel, as she learned to reconcile her monstrous heritage with her identity. Rose Szabo did a fantastic job with their debut novel; they will be an author to watch out for in the future!

My Recommendation-
If you like your books with a bit of spooky flair, you won’t want to miss What Big Teeth! This book would be a great pick for people with an obsession with The Addams Family or The Munsters!
