Disappointing
I had such high hopes for this book but walked away disappointed.... in fact I was so disappointed that I DNFd. I was confused from the very beginning as nothing was explained. I was thrust into a world were the MC was apparently bitten by a wolf (I'm guessing, I'm not entirely sure) yet nobody in her family was concerned as they are all wolves already? I had to piece that together through context clues, and she had... "abilities". Not much else was flushed out after that. A dear family member dies immediately after drawing a tarot card and the MC is left in charge with no directions or guidance. That is the part of the story where I lost interest.
The story was full of choppy writing, vague hints at what was going on, weak story line, shallow characters, and not much else. I read almost one quarter of the story before I gave up. I kept hoping it would get better but it never did. The premise was spot on but the delivery and the characters needed so much work.
