I am obsessed with the artwork on this cover, it is amazing!!! This debut novel was exactly the kind of weird I needed. Think Tim Burton and Dark Shadows meets the Addams Family and The Munsters. This book was mysterious, dark, and creepy, with a gothic atmosphere. Eleanor Zarrin is returning home after running away from boarding school. She hasn't heard from or seen her family in years, in fact she barely remembers them. Eleanor doesn't know how to fit in with her unique and strange family. After an incident occurs, Eleanor finds herself in a position where she has to hold the family together. This book was so weird, creepy, unique, and there were so many times when I was like wtf. But I absolutely loved it!!! This book might not be for everyone but I think if you loved books like The Wilder Girls, Horrid and Watch Over Me, you will love this as well!
