Rose Szabo's debut novel--What Big Teeth--has an eye-catching cover but, more importantly, it has a fantastical premise that holds a lot of promise. Eleanor, or Ellie for short, is no ordinary runaway. She comes from a long line of monsters and magic, and her homecoming is a strange one. Darkness beckons and Ellie must do all that she can to protect her loved ones. I loved the excerpt and am excited to see how the rest of the story unfolds.
