I like how we're seeing the main character's family and hometown from an outsider's point of view. Since it feels like she's meeting them again after a long time, the atmosphere felt spooky. The scene where they pull the rabbits out of the bag with their necks broken gave me chills up my spine. I hope the author will include flashbacks to the main character's time in boarding school. I love the combination school mysteries and fantasy.
