The writing style is super easy and read and flows nicely. Unfortunately the narration was too slow for me. The author throws in a lot of unknowns - what happened at boarding school? why did she leave? why is she so scared? why don't the towns people like the family? And the list goes on and on. This is just too front-heavy for me.
