I like the original way the author incorporates fairy tale creatures into a new original kind of story. I love monster stories, especially where the monsters aren't always evil like in the original tales. This book reminds me of the tv show Grimm in the way that the monsters interact with human species in day to day life. I loved that show and think this book will be just as enjoyable and would love to read more.
