This book is engaging from the get-go! Eleanor Zarrin is returning home after 8 years away after a horrifying incident at her boarding school. What struck me at first was the mysterious tone of the novel. From page one, it is clear that something sinister is going on and that Eleanor is running from who she truly is. As the story unfolds, we slowly see more of the backstory and learn about what has happened to our heroine and what she is returning to. I was immediately invested in Eleanor's story and I cannot wait to read the rest of this novel!
