What I noticed right away was the cover of this book. It captures a dark and mysterious atmosphere like the first couple of pages. I was captivated by the description the most. The real-life portrayals and behavior of Eleanor's family helps me try to figure out who, or what, they are. Quite an interesting read for fantasy and gothic YA fans.
