It's hard to believe that we're already reading First Looks for books coming out in mid-2024, but here we are! I love a generous excerpt that allows you to really dive into the story (especially a fantasy novel with deep world-building) and at 60 pages, this one did not disappoint. I also love how mythology from cultures around the world is inspiring fantastic new young adult novels! The dark, atmospheric cover and plot will definitely appeal to voracious readers of fantasy and fans of Leigh Bardugo and Aden Polydoros.
