love the book cover & interesting excerpt

I love the cover to this book. It's simple, but it definitely gives a mood/vibe for the story. After reading the excerpt, I was a bit surprised with how much I liked it only because the cover looks more like a book that I don't usually read. I'm curious what is going on with Kajal.
