I haven't read as many books with Indian mythology as I would like, so this dark fantasy immediately drew my attention - and even more so when I realized who the author is. Tara Sim's retelling of Persephone and Hades in Color Outside the Lines was my favorite, and I can't wait to read more of her writing!
