I'm a mythology teacher always on the lookout for a unique book to use with my high school students, and from what I read, this one fits the bill! Even though most of them won't read Frankenstein until senior year, that book is such a cultural phenomenon that all are aware of it, and combined with the mythology this book represents, it would be perfect.
I loved the attention-grabbing first scene, and in just a few pages, the atmosphere that just permeated with dread made me want to curl up and read the entire book in one sitting!
