The first line gets the readers' attention. I don't get as much of a Frankenstein connection as I do zombies and magic. I don't know much Indian folklore, I think it would be helpful to know to better get the intent here. I'd have liked to see a map like many fantasy books have to visualize the places Kajal goes.
